They Ignored the Warning Signs… Until It Was Too Late

Dawn came gray and sick. Sarah hadn’t slept. Her phone battery was 100% again, even though it had died hours ago. One new app had installed itself: “Family Album.” She opened it against every instinct. Thousands of photos loaded instantly, every missing family from the house across decades, all smiling, all five members, all dated tomorrow. The newest album was titled “2025 — Reed-Party Expansion.” The first photo was Sarah, standing in the dining room tomorrow at 3:33 p.m., cutting a cake shaped like the house. Behind her, Katie’s family plus Mike plus the four children all held hands in a perfect circle. Sarah’s eyes in the photo were already black candles. The caption auto-typed itself as she watched: “Forever starts in 9 hours, 12 minutes, 8 seconds…”
